Designer of the year
Vicente Garcia Jimenez has been awarded as Designer of the year by Elle Decor spanish edition.
The winner of the X EDIDA (Elle Decor International Design Award) selected among the finalist of all Elle international editions will be announced during the next Milan Design Week 2012.
The product Up&Down designed for the spanish company Fambuena, has been awarded as the best lighting by Elle Decor spanish edition as well.

XXII Compasso d’Oro Award.
Honorable Mention for Infinity.
The International jury of the XXII Compasso d’Oro Award, directed by Arturo Dell’Acqua Bellavitis, awarded the project ’Infinity’ with Honorable Merit. The installation was designed by Vicente Garcia Jimenez in 2009 for the Italian company Foscarini with video contributions by Massimo Gardone and music by Francesco Morosini.
The awarding of the Compasso d’Oro 2011 was held on July 12 at ‘La Pelanda’ in the MACRO Testaccio Museum in Rome.
Established in 1954, ADI Compasso d’Oro Award is the oldest and most influential international design award.

Metamorphosis: an unforgettable concert of light

More than 110,000 visitors admired the unforgettable light concert at Fuorisalone designed by Vicente Garcia Jimenez . 7 models from the Foscarini collection, 464 lamps deconstructed, repeated, reinterpreted and reconstructed in 22 surprising creations. These are the figures of Metamorphosis, the installation that marked Foscarini’s presence at Fuorisalone 2011, presenting the metamorphosis of an industrially-produced product into large-scale light scenery.
